H\u00e4tten unsere fr\u00fchgeschichtlichen Vorfahren einst Terminkalender besessen, w\u00e4re der Tag der Wintersonnenwende wohl fett rot markiert gewesen und auch in den folgenden 12 Tagen h\u00e4tte gro\u00df \u201eFrei!\u201c gestanden, denn sowohl die Wintersonnenwende, als auch die darauffolgenden Raun\u00e4chte geh\u00f6rten in vorchristlicher Zeit nicht nur hier im Havelland, sondern in ganz Mittel- und Nordeuropa zu den wichtigsten Terminen, auch damals offenbar schon aus kultisch-religi\u00f6sen Gr\u00fcnden.<\/p>\n

Auch bez\u00fcglich des germanischen Mittwinterfestes ist, wie leider generell wenn es um das praktizierte kultisch-religi\u00f6se Brauchtum unserer antiken Vorfahren geht, die Quellenlage \u00e4u\u00dferst sp\u00e4rlich.
\nAntike Aufzeichnungen die das Feiern der Wintersonnenwende bei den heidnischen Germanen im heutigen Deutschland beschreiben und somit belegen w\u00fcrden, sind mir pers\u00f6nlich nicht bekannt, von konkreten Beschreibungen kultischer Handlungen oder gar fester Rituale zu dieser Zeit ganz zu schweigen.<\/p>\n

Sucht man jedoch lang und geduldig genug, kann man einiges Interessantes zutage f\u00f6rdern und zwar nicht selten dort wo niemand es vermuten w\u00fcrde, jenseits der Werke antiker Historiker und manchmal auch ohne die sonst unverzichtbaren arch\u00e4ologischen Funde zur Beweisf\u00fchrung heranziehen zu m\u00fcssen, die uns bei diesem Thema allerdings gl\u00fccklicherweise hier und da zur Verf\u00fcgung stehen.
\nAuch in diesem Fall sind es vor allem die scheinbar themenfremden wissenschaftlichen Disziplinen, die alle zusammen das Ben\u00f6tigte zutage f\u00f6rdern. Neben der Arbeit verschiedenster Historiker kann es durchaus die Sprachforschung, die Religions-, Kultur- oder Sozialwissenschaft und manchmal gar eine Analyse moderner regionaler Folklore sein, die g\u00e4nzlich unerwartet zu neuen Erkenntnissen f\u00fchrt.<\/p>\n

Doch was genau wissen wir nun \u00fcber diesen offenbar besonderen Tag der Wintersonnenwende und der Geschichte ihrer Verehrung durch unsere antiken Vorfahren?<\/p>\n

Liebe Gannahall-Unterst\u00fctzer, Besucher und Freunde,<\/p>\n

nachdem aufgrund des verregneten Jahres 2017 fast alle unsere geplanten Veranstaltungen, sowie ein Gro\u00dfteil der anstehenden Bauarbeiten am historischen Dorf buchst\u00e4blich \u201eins Wasser gefallen\u201c sind, wollen wir uns, optimistisch und hartn\u00e4ckig wie wir sind, mit einem fr\u00f6hlichen Jul-Fest aus diesem Jahr verabschieden und all jene dazu einladen, die trotz alldem an unser Projekt \u201cHistorisches Dorf Gannahall\u201d geglaubt und dieses unterst\u00fctzt haben.<\/p>\n

Dies zelebrieren wir, der Zeitstellung des historischen Dorfes Gannahalls gem\u00e4\u00df, mit dem vorchristlichen Brauch des Jul- oder Weihnachtsfeuers, wie es vor 2000 Jahren wohl \u00fcberall in unserer Region abgehalten wurde.
\nF\u00fcr unsere semnonischen Vorfahren endete das alte Jahr mit der Wintersonnenwende (k\u00fcrzester Tag\/l\u00e4ngste Nacht) um den 21.12. und es begann die \u201cheilige Zeit\u201d der zw\u00f6lf \u201cgeweihten N\u00e4chte\u201d (daher auch das heutige \u201cWeihnachten\u201d), auch \u201cRauhn\u00e4chte\u201d oder schlicht \u201cZw\u00f6lfe\u201d genannt, in denen fr\u00f6hlich feiernd den G\u00f6ttern gehuldigt und der verstorbenen Ahnen gedacht wurde.
\nDie Grenze von Diesseits und Jenseits verschwamm in diesen heiligen N\u00e4chten, in der jeglicher Alltag zum Erliegen kam. Arbeit und Streit, Werkzeug und Waffen waren tabu…es war die Zeit der Feuer und der Gelage, der Freunde und Familie. Es war die Zeit der Magie, der Freude und der W\u00fcnsche, in denen G\u00f6tter und Geister mit gro\u00dfen und kleinen Opfern um gutes Gelingen bei Unternehmungen oder einfach um Gl\u00fcck im neuen Jahr gebeten wurden.<\/p>\n

So wollen auch wir es halten und werden versuchen, f\u00fcr Euch ein Fenster in die havell\u00e4ndische Vergangenheit von vor 2000 Jahren zu \u00f6ffnen, und ein solches Jul-Ritual f\u00fcr Euch nachstellen.
\nAnschlie\u00dfend genie\u00dfen wir gemeinsam das w\u00e4rmende Feuer bei hei\u00dfem Met und Wildschwein vom Spie\u00df!<\/p>\n
